Summer Vaca: It's ALMOST OVER!
http://kidsreads.pmail.biz/pmailweb/ct?id=88+0+87+1+13697
Some of you may have started school already. Others of you are in "the countdown" till school starts. It's time to read a couple more books for "pleasure reading" --- or if you already are in school, grab a book for your backpack to read on the bus to and from school!

Love this website? Consider sharing it with your teacher! Think about it. If you do this, you might even get a chance to log on during computer time in your classroom. Wouldn't THAT be nice?

We love meeting authors --- and we bet you do too! To celebrate the September 7th release of THE WRATH OF MULGARATH, the highly anticipated fifth and final book in the first cycle of The Spiderwick Chronicles, co-creators Tony DiTerlizzi and Holly Black will be visiting the following locations this fall:

New York/Connecticut -- September 7, 8
Portland, Oregon -- September 10, 11
Seattle, Washington -- September 13, 14
Vancouver, British Columbia -- September 16
Columbus/Cincinnati/Dayton, OH & Lexington, KY -- September 23-27
California -- September 29 - October 2

Want details on where you can see them? Click on the link below.

Enjoy August everyone. We hope you find a great book to read here right now.

Cool New Books for August
http://kidsreads.pmail.biz/pmailweb/ct?id=90+0+89+1+13697
Wendelin Van Draanen, author of the popular Sammy Keyes series, returns with her second adventure featuring Nolan Byrd, aka Shredderman. This cyber-superhero once again proves his dedication to truth and justice when he decides to track down a vandal who's spray painting graffiti around town. Also included in this month's roundup of cool new books is a fun collection of "fractured" fairy tales from Gregory Maguire, the hilarious sequel to the bestselling REGARDING THE FOUNTAIN, and a brilliant debut by a well-known screenwriter who asks the question, "What would you do with a million in cash?"

Books Into Movies
http://kidsreads.pmail.biz/pmailweb/ct?id=98+0+97+1+13697
Did you like the book? Well now you can see the movie! Check out the newest summer flicks that are based on books to get another dose of the stories you love. And here's an extra special treat. Some of the films we've assembled have companion books that are based directly on the motion picture screenplay and that take you behind-the-scenes at the making of the movie --- which means you can enjoy the story long after the credits stop rolling.

We cannot wait to see The Princess Diaries Royal Engagement!
Read our Books Into Movies feature here.
