The book I would read ot cheer myself up is Sammy Keyes and the Hotel Thief. Not because it's my favourite book, but because I am miserable with a cold and Sammy seems somewhat to think her life is miserable because her mother dumped her at her grandmother's house and it would be nice to know that at least your not that miserable. Plus, mystery books really cheer me up, I love them! And whenever I read something a little freaky or scary, I get really excited and I forget I'm even sick, I usually get better when I read and my mother really likes it when I read fascinating books, then she can read them when I'm done!!

It's not really the kind of book that would cheer you up but once you get started into this book you just want to keep on reading.
