1. One of Ron's most treasured possessions is a letter from author E.B. White.



2. When Ron is working he's kept company by his black cat, Cabby, who likes to chew on pencil erasers.



3. Ron lives in an old house that was built between 1830 and 1840. Abraham Lincoln would have been a young man when the building started.



4. When he was young, some of Ron's favorite books included THE BLACK STALLION and ENCYCLOPEDIA BROWN.



5. Before becoming a full-time writer, Ron taught the fourth grade.
