 Jane Yolen is one of the acknowledged masters of fantasy today. She is the author of more than two hundred novels, collections, children's books, and works of nonfiction. Her young-adult time-travel novel THE DEVIL'S ARITHMETIC won both the Jewish Book Council Award and the Jewish Libraries Award and was made into a television movie that won two Emmys. Her children's book OWL MOON, illustrated by John Schoenherr, was awarded the Caldecott Medal, and her fantasy novels SISTER LIGHT, SISTER DARK and WHITE JENNA were both short-listed for the Nebula, an award for short fiction that she later won twice. She has also won the World Fantasy Award, the Christopher Medal, the Golden Kite Award, the Mythopoic Award three times, and the Skylark Award and has been nominated for the National Book Award. She is a much sought after speaker and lecturer. She is past president of the Science Fiction Writers of America, has served on the board of directors of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators since its inception, and is a founding member of the Bay State Writers Guild.
Dr. Yolen received an honorary degree for her writing and taught children's literature at Smith College. She lives in Hatfield, Massachusetts, and in St. Andrews, Scotland with her husband David Stemple. Yolen is also a mother of three grown children.

 Robert J. Harris was born and raised in Scotland. He studied Greek and Latin at university and consequently has had a varied career as a bartender, salesman, nurse, actor, game designer, and writer. He designed the best-selling fantasy board game Talisman and is the author of numerous short stories. He lives in St. Andrews, Scotland, with his wife, fantasy author Deborah Turner Harris and their three sons.
