1. Mary Pope Osborne and her husband Will Osborne recently published a new nonfiction series of Magic Tree House books. The first two research guides in this new series are: The Magic Tree House Research Guide #1: DINOSAURS and The Magic Tree House Research Guide #2: KNIGHTS AND CASTLES. These books introduce students to the world of nonfiction by teaching them how to become a good researcher.



2. Mary's dog Bailey makes a special guest appearance in Book #17, TONIGHT ON THE TITANIC.



3. The very first book Mary ever published was a young adult novel called RUN, RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN.



4. All of the books in the Magic Tree House series are illustrated by Sal Murdocca.



5. This year, Mary will be publishing a special holiday Magic Tree House book titled CHRISTMAS IN CAMELOT. It will be out in October 2001.
